About Hafjell
Overview
Norway’s third-largest ski resort, 15 km north of Lillehammer, where the giant slalom and slalom of the 1994 Winter Olympics were held. With an 835 m vertical drop — among the biggest in Scandinavia — it still skis like a family mountain: wide cruising greens and blues, dedicated kids’ zones, three terrain parks and around 7 km of floodlit night skiing. The longest run stretches 7.5 km from the 1,030 m summit, and in summer the mountain turns into Hafjell Bike Park, host of the 2014 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships. Oslo is about 2 hours away by car or train via Lillehammer.
